Finally managed to call Sri vajiyam temple and managed to talk to the office executive. He was very helpful.
Here are some useful information about Srivajiyam temple:
Procedures for doing ancestors prayers:
1. Mosham deepam: $200-250 rupees. Done at 6-7pm at d 3rd gopuram for them to cross into d light.
2. Tarpanam: $500-$600 rupees
Person doing d tarpanam must be present. Its mostly done by outside priests,nt d temple priest. You need to be there by 8-9am to do the prayers. Coordinate with the temple office ppl. They are very helpful.
3. Annathanam: $1000 rupees for 50pax n $2000 rupees gor 100 pax.
4. Tarpanam is best done on aadi amavasya or mahalaya amavasya or monthly amavasya is also fine. Or if it inconvenience for sm ppl,any day would be fine. Most to most the ancestors prayers cost less than $ 1850rupees excluding archanei.
5. If you are keen to do abishegam,each sanctum is $400 rupees. Up to u which sanctum u want to perform d abishegam
6. If u want to give dhoti+shawl n blouse bit pieces,its up to individual to that. One can donate to 5 n more brahmins in d temple. Coordinate with the temple office. They will arrange for you.

Kindly dont go by the gurukkals as they charge quite a bit for the prayers dont seemed to be truthful. Kindly call the office to enquire they are more than willing to share the information.
